Alcázar of Seville

Explore the most iconic landmark of the city of Sevilla as a family and be forever amazed by its details and beauty.

What can you expect?

Definitely one of the most iconic buildings in Sevilla, with history running through its foundations. Built in the 10th century, it was where one of Spain’s King lived and it even appears in Game of Thrones! There are several architectural styles combined, making it a very unique building and art on itself. There are many palaces, yards and room within the Royal Alcázar and one of our favourites is the Patio de las Muñecas or Dolls Yard; it’s said that if you find all nine doll faces carved along the columns of the yard it will bring you good luck!

You can select a guided tour option for a more in-depth exploration of the building and its history or a general skip-the-line ticket.

How to get there

Once in the entrance of the building, if you have selected the guided tour option look for the guide with a blue umbrella.

It’s a 10-minute walk from the centre. But if you prefer to use public transport, you can take the 21 bus and stop at “Menéndez Pelayo”.

Alternatively, a taxi might be a good option since it’s a 5-minute drive. Always check with your hotel on what options you have available as they will use reputable companies.
