Parks and things to visit on a budget in Granada

Parque Federico García Lorca (Federico García Lorca’s Park)

A well-known Spanish theatre writer gives name to this park. A small paradisiac spot within the city, surrounded by flowers, bright green grass, fountains and a play zone for the little ones. It’s not a great park, but possibly another stop to visit during your stay in Granada.

Parque Tico Medina (Tico Medina’s Park)

This park gets its name from a famous journalist. A very open and wide space within the city, perfect to walk around and spend some time letting your kids play and have some fun at the special play zone area inside the park – it even has a soft floor so kids won’t get hurt if they fall while playing.

Carmen de los Mártires

An enclosure located in the surrounding areas of the Alhambra palace. It creates a great contrast from the buildings, providing a nice and relaxing break to just walk around under the nice shade of the trees while still seeing an important side of the city.

Jardines Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo

These are some beautifully designed gardens close to the centre of Granada. They do not have a kid’s play zone, but they are a nice place to sit for a while to catch your breath and relax after walking throughout the city.

Rogelio Macías Park

A simple nice park, with a great fountain in the middle and benches all around it – with different play zone areas where your kids can have some fun time while you catch a breath and relax for a bit.
