Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife

The Hard Rock hotel is one of Travel 4 Baby’s favourite hotels for families in Tenerife. They have incredible family facilities including a baby club from as young as 6 months old, giving parents some much needed rest!

The Resort

The hotel is situated in the quiet resort of Playa Paraíso. There’s a small high street with bars, shops and restaurants, a quaint seafront promenade and a local shopping centre with a small, soft play area specifically for young children (The Rosa Centre). In the resort you will also find a pharmacy, cash machines and supermarkets. It’s only a short 10 minute drive away from the busier resort of Costa Adeje. Taxis and local buses are easy to get. Buses cost as little as 2 euros per person and run every 30 minutes. Taxis cost around 15 euros to Costa Adeje’s golden beaches and shopping districts. The hotel has a large underground car park available for 12 euros per day if you decide to hire a car for extra freedom. Parking must be reserved with the hotel directly.

The Kids Clubs

They have the Teen Spirit Club for teenagers aged between 10-16 years. They can escape from their parents, get some independence and socialise in a safe, fun space with video games, music and sports facilities.

The Roxity Club for kids aged 4-9 years has loads of fun activities including workshops, arts and crafts and parties. Open normally between 11:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00.

The kids clubs are free of charge and don’t always require reservations. We recommend you double check when arriving at the hotel, as at busy times, reservations may be required.

Something that sets this hotel apart from others is the Lullaby baby club for children as young as 6 months old! Children between the ages of 6 months and 3 years old can join the Lullaby club, cared for by childcare professionals. This is a unique service and it has to be booked in advance. Normally opening hours are 11:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00 however, if available, they may be able to offer later babysitting services as well. The baby club is priced at 15 euros per hour. Speak with the hotel immediately on arrival for reservations or better still, contact them before you travel on (0034) 922 74 17 00 (They speak English).

The Rooms

The hotel has large rooms which are soundproofed as well. They can sleep between 2-4 people and they even have single parent rooms available if required. Rooms are fully air conditioned and come with sofa beds for kids. Cots can also be provided. All rooms have a small fridge/mini bar, an electric kettle and a shower with a separate bath (handy for babies). The Hard Rock has many room types so have a good look at the options before you book. Large families can ask for connecting rooms. (These must be requested at the time of booking).

Bars & Restaurants

The hotel offers a variety of board basis from Bed and Breakfast up to All Inclusive. There are 5 restaurants and 5 bars within the hotel, including international buffet, Asian, Italian and a steakhouse. They can even prepare baby food and provide highchairs if needed. The main restaurant also includes a separate kid’s buffet. You will find a sport’s bar, rooftop bar, cafes and even a beach club. There is something to suit every taste bud.

Entertainment

The entertainment is great with live music, special events and fun galore! The entertainment team in the hotel work day and night organising activities such as aerobics and water games. Live music shows take place frequently. There is often a mini disco around 7pm. (Double check the times on arrival as this can change depending on the time of year) There is normally laid back music entertainment after that. There’s mini golf and table tennis on-site free of charge as well as indoor and outdoor play areas and games room too!

The Pools

You will find 3 main outdoor pools, one of which is heated in the winter. You have an adult only pool for those wanting to escape the madness and adjacent to the family pool there is a kid’s splash pool with slides and fun games. Right on the seafront you will find the stunning Beach Club with sandy areas and a graduated entry pool perfect for little toddlers. The Spa in the hotel offers a great escape and kids can even use the family spa too.

PROS:

CONS:

• It can be a little noisy with the loud music, however all the rooms are soundproofed, and the music does cover up the loud noises often made by children!
• The resort of Playa Paraíso is small so there are less amenities within walking distance than you would find in resorts such as Las Americas or Costa Adeje.
